Sometimes we may feel that we don’t really know who we are or what we actually want for ourselves.

We may even find it difficult to know how and what we are feeling.  We can all experience life as overwhelming and difficult to cope with at times.  Perhaps you feel that some aspects of your life have become unbearable. You might even feel in crisis.

I have experience of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures and across all age groups. People have reached out to me in the past for a wide range of reasons including:

  • Loss of purpose or hope and lack of fulfilment
  • Issues around poor self-esteem and low confidence
  • Depression, loneliness or feelings of isolation
  • Family difficulties or relationship issues
  • Abusive relationship or family dynamics
  • Questions, confusion or issues relating to sexuality and desire
  • Anger management and difficulties dealing with or expressing anger
  • Confusion or concerns around identity relating to race, gender or ideology
  • Addiction issues
  • Obsessive and compulsive behaviours
  • Experiences of bullying and discrimination
  • Feelings of acute stress or anxiety, including having panic attacks
  • Difficulties in making or sustaining affirming relationships
  • Bereavement and grief
  • Disassociation and trauma
  • Psychosexual issues
  • Workplace stress or conflicts
  • LGBTQ support
  • Difficulties in making or sustaining affirming relationships

You might recognize yourself in one or more of the above… or it might be something else entirely.  Whatever it is you are grappling with, I believe that the safety and openness of the therapeutic relationship can offer a uniquely containing and reflective space within which to explore, understand and discover oneself.  And with that increased understanding can come a stronger sense of self, an increased inner confidence and a feeling of being more alive.
